An important change in cell phone policy

An important change in cell phone policy
Updated

Beginning this school year, Georgia law requires all public schools (K–8) to limit student use of personal electronic devices (PEDs) during the school day. A PED is any portable device that can send, receive, or access communication, data, or media — including but not limited to cell phones, smartwatches, tablets, e-readers, or headphones.

Students in grades K–8 may not access PEDs during the school day, from the first bell to the final bell, including recess, transitions, lunch, and assemblies.
