Our Family Engagement Center is open every school day from 8:45 - 2:45. Visit us in Room 1.216 any time during the day. Families are also welcome to schedule an appointment.

What is Title I?
The U.S. Department of Education provides supplemental funding to local school districts to meet the needs of at-risk and low-income students. is a federally funded program resulting from the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001. Title I provides funds to schools and districts based upon the percentage of students qualifying to receive free or reduced cost (school) meals. The purpose is to ensure that all children have access to quality instruction and resources that will enable them to meet state academic standards.
Each Title I Schoolwide Program has an on-site Family Engagement Center, facilitated by a certified teacher, known as the Parent Instructional Support Coordinator (PISC). Many schools also have a Parent Outreach Liaison, who is bilingual (English-Spanish).
What is A Family Engagement Center?
The Family Engagement Center offers parents help and resources they can use to support their child at home. Certified staff members are available to assist parents with questions and resources throughout the school day.
Research shows involving families and communities in their local schools improves the academic and social success of children. Therefore, the mission of the Family Engagement Center is to impact the academic achievement of each and every student by creating an environment that strengthens parental involvement and provides resources for parents.
